Volunteer Training

Rich Pond Elementary prides ourselves on being a safe, fun, learning environment for all our students! We also know that parent involvement in school programs directly correlates with student success academically, that's why we encourage volunteers in our building. Did you know that each school year you must attend volunteer training to each lunch with your child and a friend, go on field trips, and attend school-wide parties. This keeps our students in a safe learning environment, because we know the adults in our building are trusted.

How do I know if I need training?

> Planning to attend a school field trip?

>Want to help with or attend a school party?

> Helping the teacher in the classroom during school events?

> Want to eat lunch with your child AND a friend of his/hers?

> NEVER had a background check with Warren County Schools?

> Haven't attended a training for the current school year?

IF YOU ANSWERED YES TO ANY OF THESE, YOU WILL NEED TO ATTEND A VOLUNTEER TRAINING THIS YEAR.

"What do I bring with me?"

> Your photo ID, and your badge from previous years if you have one.

"Can I still eat lunch with my child if my background check isn't back yet?"

>Yes! You just can't have your child's friend join you for lunch until the check is back.
